Terms & Conditions
These Terms cover appointments, barbering services, payments, cancellations, promotions and use of the NOMAD BARBER CO. website.
Booking an appointment
Appointments are made for a specific client, service, date and time. A booking is confirmed only after the available booking process has been completed and confirmation has been issued. Clients are responsible for entering accurate contact and booking information and checking the confirmation details before attending. Booking for another person should only be done with that person's permission.
Arrival and late arrivals
Please arrive approximately five minutes before your appointment. Arriving late can reduce the time available for the service. Where a client arrives significantly late, NOMAD BARBER CO. may shorten the service where reasonably possible, recommend rescheduling, or decline to start if continuing would unfairly delay the next appointment.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Please cancel or reschedule as early as possible and preferably at least twelve hours before the appointment. An advance booking may be cancelled, but a close cancellation may result in a reasonable cancellation charge or loss of a deposit where applicable. Any charge will be considered in the circumstances and will not be treated as an automatic penalty for every cancellation.
No-shows
A no-show means failing to attend a booked appointment without cancelling or contacting the barbershop. Repeated no-shows may affect future booking privileges. NOMAD BARBER CO. may require a deposit or prepayment before accepting another appointment from a client with a repeated history of missed appointments.
Choosing a service
Clients are responsible for selecting the service that best matches what they want. The barber may discuss the request before starting. If hair condition, scalp condition, previous treatment, required time or another practical limitation makes the requested service unsuitable, the barber may recommend an alternative. Any material price difference will be explained before the different or additional service is performed.
Service results
Results can be affected by existing hair length, texture, density, previous cuts, chemical treatments, hair or scalp condition, and the reference or style requested. NOMAD BARBER CO. will provide the agreed service with reasonable care and skill. If a client believes there is a genuine issue with the service, they should contact the barbershop promptly so the concern can be reviewed.
Service concerns
Clients should raise concerns as soon as reasonably possible after an appointment. Where a concern relates to the quality or outcome of a haircut or grooming service, NOMAD BARBER CO. may inspect the issue and, where appropriate, offer a reasonable correction. A correction does not automatically mean a cash refund. The appropriate resolution depends on the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.
Health, skin and hygiene
Before the service, clients should tell the barber about scalp irritation, open wounds, contagious skin conditions, relevant product allergies, recent scalp or hair treatments, or any condition that could make the requested service unsafe. NOMAD BARBER CO. may pause, modify or decline a service where performing it would reasonably create a health, hygiene or safety concern. Barbers do not diagnose medical conditions.
Professional hygiene
Tools, equipment and work areas are maintained according to NOMAD BARBER CO.'s hygiene procedures. Clients should follow reasonable instructions from the barber during a service so the work can be performed safely and hygienically.
Pricing and payment
Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR). The applicable price should be clear before the service is performed. Prices may change over time, but a confirmed booking should not be unexpectedly repriced because the website price changed after booking unless the client agrees to the change or the applicable booking terms clearly provide otherwise. Any additional service will be discussed before it is performed.
Deposits and prepayments
Where the booking system requires a deposit or prepayment, the amount will be shown before payment. Clients should review the cancellation terms before paying. The treatment of a deposit or prepayment depends on the circumstances of the cancellation or missed appointment and applicable law.
Promotions and first-visit offer
The 30% first-visit offer is intended for a client's first eligible service and applies only to eligible services shown by the booking system or promotional terms. It cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person, or combined with another promotion unless expressly stated. The discount applies to the eligible service and not automatically to every additional charge or service. NOMAD BARBER CO. may correct an obvious pricing or technical error in a promotion.
Personal information
Information provided during booking may be used to manage appointments, contact the client about a booking, handle changes or cancellations, provide the requested service, respond to service enquiries and maintain appropriate business records. Personal information is not sold as a product to third parties. A separate Privacy Policy, if published, contains the complete privacy rules.
Client property
Clients remain responsible for phones, wallets, bags, jewellery and other belongings brought onto the premises. Please do not leave valuables unattended.
Services for minors
Where a service is booked for a minor, NOMAD BARBER CO. may require a parent or legal guardian to provide consent depending on the service and circumstances.
Website use
Website content is provided for general information about NOMAD BARBER CO., its services, pricing and booking availability. Users must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, misuse booking functionality, submit false information, or use automated methods to abuse the booking system.
Third-party booking services
Where the booking experience involves an external booking provider, that provider's terms and privacy rules may also apply when a client interacts directly with its platform. An online booking should not be treated as confirmed until the booking system confirms it.
Availability and website errors
Website availability can occasionally be interrupted, displayed availability can change, and technical errors can occur. NOMAD BARBER CO. will use reasonable care to keep information current, but a displayed slot is not a confirmed appointment until the booking system confirms it.
Changes to these Terms
NOMAD BARBER CO. may update these Terms when its services, booking process or business policies change. The current version will be displayed on this website. Changes do not automatically rewrite transactions or services that have already been completed.
Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit a right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable South African consumer-protection legislation.
